Hirschmann Master Course
Europe

2021 Renaissance Castle of Weinberg in Linz

In the fall of 2021, the Foundation Swiss Youth Music Contests will be hosting the Hirschmann Master Course Europe for the first time. The event will take place at the Renaissance Castle of Weinberg in Linz (Austria) and will involve musicians from various countries.

The Foundation Swiss Youth Music Contests will therefore cooperate with its European sister organizations prima la musica (Austria), Jugend musiziert (Germany) and the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (emcy).

Hirschmann Europe will invite extraordinary young chamber musicians between the age of 15 and 22, who are first-time award winners in their national finals (Switzerland, Austria, and Germany).

The Hirschmann-Foundation wants to make a small contribution to the European dialogue by crossing national borders.

Cultural events for young people are the best means to do so.

Further countries will be involved in the future if the pilot project is successful.

Idea

All participants are young and talented musicians whose aim it is to earn a university degree.

Hirschmann Europe will not only enable them to come to grips with their instruments, but also with their own personalities.

The instructors are professional musicians with longstanding teaching experience.

The Hirschmann-Foundation is funding the project Master Course Europe with an amount of CHF 32,000.
